Warcraft 3: Reforged stumbled out of the gate in 2020, netting one of the lowest Metacritic scores ever recorded at the time. It wasn’t just that it was buggy, or had issues with player-created content. It also replaced the original version of Warcraft 3 on Battle.net, so even if you wanted to go back, you couldn’t in most cases. Initially, Blizzard dug in its heels, promising to fix Reforged and boost it to players’ expectations. It released several patches that improved the experience, but this week sees it finally relenting and giving classic fans what they’ve been asking for.
With Warcraft 3: Legacy available, you won’t be able to play online multiplayer in the old client, but LAN and offline play are available. For more news and updates, stay tuned to the Blizzard topic.
