Call of Duty dev Infinity Ward has confirmed it's working on a new game

It's probably a new Call of Duty game.

It seems Call of Duty developer Infinity Ward is gearing up to reveal its next big game. There’s no telling exactly when the reveal is coming, but based on Infinity Ward’s teasing, it seems a new Call of Duty game reveal is imminent.

Infinity Ward teased an upcoming game announcement on its official social media today. The group explained at length that it has something exciting to share in the very near future. “On behalf of everyone at IW,” the studio heads wrote. “we’re proud of what we’ve been building and excited to finally start sharing it with you.”

Infinity Ward doesn’t explicitly say that it’s next game is a Call of Duty game, and far be it from us to speculate, but it’s probably a Call of Duty game. At the very least, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare series Senior Designer Steve Holmes is on board. What’s more, Infinity Ward has been away for a minute, playing support to Treyarch’s shipping of Call of Duty Black Ops 6 and Black Ops 7 in 2024 and 2025 respectively.
