How to get rid of Corruption - Saros

Corruption reduces your maximum integrity, but it can be cleansed.

by · Shacknews

When Carosa enters its Eclipse phase, all enemies shoot Corrupted Projectiles which build up a Corruption debuff if they hit you. This is a brutal system, as it reduces your maximum heath (Integrity). The good news is that you can cleanse Corruption in Saros by simply engaging with the combat.

How to get rid of Corruption

Use your Power Weapon to remove a chunk of Corruption from your armor’s Integrity bar. This is the Cleansing mechanic in Saros, and it’s a way to encourage you to absorb more blue projectiles using your Soltari Shield (holding R1).

Corruption will accumulate whenever you get hit by Corrupted Projectiles, lowering your maximum Integrity. Use your Power Weapon to remove it!

Fire your Power Weapon by pressing L2 and R2 at the same time. You can only fire this weapon if you have enough charge, which is shown as the bar below the reticle. When a biome shifts into the Eclipse version, you will want to keep an eye on your Corruption and use your Power Weapon whenever possible to remove the status effect.

Corruption is a powerful debuff that you will want to avoid at all costs. Not only will Corrupted Projectiles deal damage, it will slowly build up this effect on your health bar. Remember to keep using your Power Weapon to get rid of it. Stop by our Saros page for more help with this bullet ballet.
