by Aidan O'Brien · ShacknewsIf you are wandering around the Steel Mountains in Crimson Desert, you may have stumbled across a bell puzzle. How to solve the Steel Mountains Ruins eight bell puzzle in Crimson Desert
On the left side of the clearing, you will see pieces of paper stuck to a board, each with a symbol. To the right, you will see eight bells, each one denoted by its own symbol. All you need to do is use the nearby mallet to smack the bells in the correct order, as denoted by the symbols on the pieces of paper.
First, let's assign a number to each bell, as follows:
| 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 |
| 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 |
Now, hit the bells in the following order: 1,2,3,4,5,6,4,3,2,1, and that will cause the wall to disappear, revealing the Abyss Cresset.
Now, a couple of important things to note for this. If you accidentally ring a bell out of order, even if you just walk into it, you will need to leave the area and then return. I found I had to travel to a nearby fast travel point to reset it, which was over 200 meters away.
Many players have reported that they found it much easier to solve this puzzle with the bow rather than the mallet that is provided, so keep that in mind if you are struggling to land shots with the mallet.
