Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream sells over 3.8 million units
In a span of two weeks, Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream had quite a bit of success.
by TJ Denzer · ShacknewsWith Nintendo having posted its FY26 earnings this week, it also shared an update on how its games are selling, which included Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream. Worth noting because the game sold over 3.8 million units in the two weeks after it released.
Nintendo toted this stat in the slide presentation of supplementary material that accompanied its FY26 earnings results reporting. While FY26 ended on March 31 for Nintendo, and Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream launched on April 16, 2026, and is therefore not considered part of Nintendo’s FY26 sales and metrics, it was nonetheless, an impressive milestone.

Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream has been a delightful cozy sandbox for most players who check it out. The way in which you can create, craft, and let your imagination loose in the game made it an easy 9 out of 10 for me in my review.
With the game doing well, we’ll be on the lookout for new updates and content coming to Tomodachi Life. Stay tuned to the Nintendo topic for more news and updates.
