X caps unverified users at 50 posts per day
X has also introduced limits to daily follows and replies.
by Donovan Erskine · ShacknewsX, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, has placed new limits on how many posts its unverified users can make on a daily basis. The company says that these limits will help alleviate stress on its backend.
X published a new page to its Platform Use Guidelines to detail the new limits. Unverified users are now capped at 50 posts, 200 replies, 500 DMs, and 400 follows on a daily basis. When users hit these limits, they’ll be notified in an error message.
The company states that these new limits will “alleviate some of the strain on the behind-the-scenes part of X and reduce downtime and error pages.”
The limits don’t apply to verified accounts. Verification is granted to users who subscribe to X Premium. To read about the many changes X has seen under the ownership of Elon Musk, stay here on Shacknews.
