Where to get the Frequency Modulation Boxes in ARC Raiders
Getting your hands on Frequency Modulation Boxes in ARC Raiders can be a trial, even if you know where to look. Here's the lowdown.
by John Schutt · ShacknewsThe rarest items in ARC Raiders aren’t always rare just because of their scarcity. Items like the Frequency Modulation Box are rare because making it out alive with them, or even having the chance to loot them, can be difficult. All the same, here’s where to find them.
How to find a Frequency Modulation Box in ARC Raiders
The Frequency Modulation Box is an Exodus loot item that you can only find in specific zones of Stella Montis. These locations are:
- Assembly
- Assembly Workshops
- Medical Research
There doesn’t seem to be a particular container type to search, as I found mine in a random white medical loot drawer in Medical Research. So long as you’re not trying to loot a computer case or a blue desk drawer, you should have good luck finding a Frequency Modulation Box.
Two things complicate matters, though. The first is Stella Montis itself. Unless you have a very low-aggression style of matchmaking, the place is a PvP haven where shooting on sight is common even in solos.
The second problem is how consistently the western side of the map is looted. I’ve arrived after only a few minutes had passed and found the entire place picked clean. It’s especially problematic if you spawn at the farthest point from the western wings or are more than five minutes late to a match; don’t expect there to be much left.
If you do manage to find a Frequency Modulation Box and need it for a quest or some other purpose, put it in your Safe Pocket right away. Stella Montis is too dangerous and unpredictable to leave finding any item to chance.
