Evening Reading - March 24, 2026
It's nighttime in America, which means time for another edition of Evening Reading.
by TJ Denzer · ShacknewsWelcome, Shackers, to the end of another Tuesday. I’m flying high today on the back of the successful launch of a new form of Indie-licious episode, made with help from a developer I highly respect, as well as a Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream preview. You can find that and more content down below, but we always have more coming, so keep your eyes peeled. For now? It’s the end of another day of posting, so that means an Evening Reading to wind down!

And now… More stuff from The Internet!!!
Hello Kitty Island Adventure is getting a second DLC: City Town
It’s crazy to me how much Sanrio’s cozy adventure game has grown since I first played it, but it works so well. Nice to see it getting so much more content.
Players are making Switch 2 attachments to play with mouse controls
Nintendo would be crazy not to eventually get in on attachments that make it easier to play with things like mouse controls.
But not if Shinsuke Hasegawa has anything to say about it
I really, really need my fellows in gaming journalism to be more considerate of the stories they push, because what Bloomberg did today was just embarrassing. We are not horses being led around by the bit.
A helping hand from Grace
I love how they never explained how she mushes blood and rusty metal together to make bullets. You go girl.

NVIDIA’s AI slop can’t catch a break this week.
Defacing literature for a good cause
I would never say anyone should burn a book, but symbolically letting folks tear one apart, monetizing it, and putting that money towards good feels like sweet lemonade out of lemons.
A Castlevania classic to carry your work week
Harmony of Despair had such great remixes. I really hope we get some good music in the new Castlevania game this year.
