Baba wins the second Deadlock City Never Sleeps update character vote
Deadlock's newest unlocked character brings magic, pigeons, and plenty of bread to the mean streets of The Cursed Apple.
by TJ Denzer · ShacknewsThe vote to unlock the second of six new characters in Deadlock concluded, and Baba Yaga - sorry, just Baba - has been unlocked. She’s available to play in Deadlock now alongside the Rat King.
Baba was announced as the victorious candidate to unlock second in Deadlock’s City Never Sleeps update view a Steam developer blog post. Following a quick update, she’s available to play in the game.
Here’s a rundown of Baba’s abilities, as pulled from the game:
- Threadsap: Weave a scraggly thread that follows your crosshair before bursting along its path, dealing spirit damage and stealing enemy spirit. While holding stolen spirit, Baba deals bonus spirit damage with every bullet.
- Granny Long Legs: Baba's bench's legs extend, granding bonus move speed, higher jumps, debuff resistance, and melee resistance. Light melee performs a kick that knocks enemies back and heavy melee performs a ground pound that deals spirit damage and applies knock-up and slow.
- Baba's Brew: Brew a pot of tea that applies a magical effect in an area when thrown, cycling over time between a soothing barrier, silence, or scalding burn that deals spirit damage over time and reduces spirit resist.
- Feed The Birds: Cover targets in front of you with bread, adding a stacking slow, when the channel ends, a flock of pigeons bombard the target, dealing spirit damage and hexing the target into a pigeon, increasing in both damage and duration based on the bread count.
