Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World announced, will feature DQ5 characters

Bianca and Nera will star in the next Dragon Quest Monsters.

Square Enix has revealed the next installment in Dragon Quest’s long-running spin-off series, Dragon Quest Monsters. It’s called Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World and will feature a pair of characters previously featured in the mainline series.

Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World got its first trailer during the franchise’s 40th anniversary livestream. The trailer showed a slew of monsters from the DQ franchise before revealing the logo, which features a sun and crescent moon.

The trailer also revealed that Bianca and Nera will be central characters in the game. Bianca and Nera both originate from Dragon Quest 5: Hand of the Heavenly Bride. Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World will feature younger versions of the characters.

Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World will be released for PS5, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. Today’s livestream also brought a new trailer (and title) for Dragon Quest 12.
