Volodymyr Zelenskyy says that recent attacks from Russia violate Trump’s energy ceasefire.
by Donovan Erskine · ShacknewsUkraine and its military have been relying on SpaceX’s Starlink for internet service as it continues its fight against Russia. However, Ukrainian leadership says Starlink has begun restricting the company’s Starlink access, causing disruptions to its military operations.
Serhii Beskrestnov, adviser to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, said that Starlink had imposed speed limits on its service without any warning, as reported by CNBC. It has reportedly caused issues for Ukraine’s military as it endures more attacks from Russia.
Russia attacked Ukraine’s energy infrastructure this week, which is in violation of Donald Trump’s recently proposed energy ceasefire. The attack reportedly left 600,000 citizens without power. In an X post, Volodymyr Zelenskyy urged Trump to impose strong sanctions against Russia.
The Trump Administration stated on X that Zelenskyy attacked an oil refinery after being instructed not to, and that he “better damn well stop.” SpaceX CEO Elon Musk wrote that Zelenskyy had “gone too far” in a response.
