Phasmophobia developers talk 1.0 and ghost rework at Shacknews E4 2026

We caught up with Kinetic Games to talk about all things Phasmophobia. During our chat, the developers spoke about the game’s 1.0 update, which is set to arrive in 2027.

I spoke with Daniel Knight, CEO and Game Director on Phasmophobia, as well as Ana Dukakis at Summer Game Fest 2026. In it, they talked about all of their priorities while developing Phasmophobia’s 1.0 version. “It’s an overhaul of the horror experience,” Dukakis said. The new update will bring both audio and visual changes to further immerse players in the horror.
