How to complete the Recon Specialist 1 challenge in Battlefield 6

The Recon Specialist 1 challenge in Battlefield 6 is one of the tamer ones, and completing it is a relatively simple matter.

Every class-specific challenge in Battlefield 6 can easily become a massive grind, but, blessedly, the requirements to complete Recon Specialist 1 are pretty tame. You might even be able to finish all the steps in two or three matches if you’re efficient. Here’s how.

There are two requirements to complete Recon Specialist 1: get 30,000 Score while playing as Recon and to spot 300 enemies on objectives with your gadgets. It sounds like a lot, but I’ve been able to easily rack up almost 100 spots and around 10,000 score if I do well in a match.

The Recon Drone is your best friend for Recon Specialist 1, as there’s no more consistent way to spot dozens of enemies in a short span of time.

Go to the middle flags on Blackwell Fields, Liberation Peak, Mirak Valley, or Operation Firestorm, deploy the drone, and spot everything in sight. You’ll be amazed at how many enemy spots and spot assists you can accrue in a few minutes.

The Recon Drone isn’t the only gadget you can use, either. For best results, you should also have the Laser Designator gadget and the Proximity Detector throwable device in your arsenal.

Get to a high point that overlooks as much of the map as possible and deploy the Laser Designator on its tripod. You’ll not only paint targets for your Engineers, but get other spots without having to lift a finger.

Use your Motion Sensor and Proximity Detector liberally, as well. If you’re attacking an objective, place the Motion Sensor right in the thick of things, preferably behind a bit of hard cover. You’ll give yourself and your teammates early warnings about incoming enemies and get the enemy spotting you’re looking for.

In the event you’re out of all other spotting devices, the Proximity Detector throwable is an easy way to check for enemies ahead of you. Its spotting range isn’t particularly wide, but a little can go a long way.

So long as you perform well in a match, getting 10,000 XP per round is entirely doable. And if you usually average less than that, just expect earning the 30,000 XP you need for Recon Specialist 1 to take a bit longer. It will come in time, either way.
