Once Upon a Katamari is coming to Switch 2 in October with new DLC for all versions

In addition to launching on Switch 2, a paid DLC called Rolling LIVE Highlights is coming to all versions of Once Upon a Katamari.

The most recent Katamari game, 2025’s Once Upon a Katamari, is coming Nintendo Switch 2 in October 26, 2026. In addition, all versions of the game will be able to enjoy the paid Rolling LIVE Highlights DLC, with new levels and cousins based off the mobile game, Katamari Rolling LIVE.

Bandai Namco announced the details of Once Upon a Katamari’s Switch 2 port and the Rolling LIVE Highlights DLC in a new trailer. It’s all coming out on October 8, 2026. What’s more, a new base game and collection will be offered as a bundle, or you can just get the DLC standalone. The DLC offers 10 new quests, 12 new songs, six new cousins, and 18 new accessories for the game, mostly pulled from the Apple Arcade title.

Once Upon a Katamari was another delightful entry in the much beloved series in 2025. Contributing Editor Lucas White had a good time with it, as has Steam, where it enjoys a Very Positive user review rating.
