Tokyo Game Show 2027 will be a five-day show

The CESA has announced the dates for TGS 2027, and it’s set to be a five-day show too.

Tokyo Game Show will return in 2027 with another five-day show. This year’s fifth day saw in-person events cancelled due to the approaching typhoon.

Tokyo Game Show 2027 will return on September 16, 2027, Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association (CESA) announced on the penultimate day of TGS 2026. Next year’s TGS will be another five-day show, taking place from the Thursday until the end of Monday, September 20. Like 2026, this will be a public holiday.

The news of the TGS 2027 dates comes as CESA announces that the fifth day of TGS 2026 will be cancelled, replaced instead by livestreams. This is thanks to the approaching typhoon, which will make in-person attendance unsafe. This extra day was in celebration of the show’s 30th anniversary, which had seen attendee numbers hit 257,642, a decrease from the last two years.
