How to complete Keeping the Memory in ARC Raiders

Keeping the Memory can be a tricky and even frustrating quest in ARC Raiders. Here's how to complete it.

Some quests in ARC Raiders can be devilishly simple to complete, and Keeping the Memory is just one example. While the actual task is fairly easy to complete, there are a couple complications you’ll need to account for, at least one of which could cost you a frustrating amount of time.

How to complete the Keeping the Memory quest in ARC Raiders

To complete Keeping the Memory, you need to go to the Wreckage zone in the southeastern portion of Dam Battlegrounds, find a helmet, and place it at a memorial. Additionally, you need to do all three tasks in a single round, meaning if you get into a fight and are knocked out before you complete every step, you’ll need to do everything again. 

If you do complete all three steps, you can extract or get knocked out and still claim the quest rewards.

Once you reach the Wreckage in the Formicai Hills northeast of the Scrapyard and Formicai Outpost, go to the large, rusted Baron ARC husk. You’ll find it at the center of the point of interest.

Near the base of the ruined ARC is a small but uniquely shaped bush that you can interact with. Do so, and the helmet will fall out onto the ground nearby. You need to pick it up like you would a Field Depot cache.

Carry the helmet over to the nearby steel rod sticking straight up out of the ground and place the helmet there to complete the quest. From there, you can either return to Speranza the usual way or the violent way.

There’s one complication you’ll need to keep in mind. The pole where you place the helmet is a static part of the map, and does not spawn only while you have Keeping the Memory active. That means another raider can place the helmet there before you, making it impossible for you to complete the quest that round.

Your only recourse in that situation is to leave and try again in another raid. You’re at the mercy of your spawn, the amount of time left in the match, and other raiders for this quest, but keep at it, and you should complete Keeping the Memory in due time.
