Xbox will not share Project Helix news during the Xbox Games Showcase

Don't expect news about the next-gen Xbox console at the company's June showcase.

We’re just over a week away from the Xbox Games Showcase, the biggest news event of the year for Microsoft’s gaming branch. While it’s set to be a massive news dump for upcoming Xbox games, it won’t feature any news about Project Helix, the codename for the upcoming Xbox console.

Xbox Chief Content Officer Matt Booty appeared on the latest episode of the Xbox Podcast, where he confirmed the news. “I can also say that there won’t be Helix news, so Helix will not be in this showcase.” He went on to say that the Xbox Games Showcase will be specifically focused on games.

While most of the content of the Xbox Games Showcase is being kept under wraps, we know that it will feature an update on Gears of War: E-Day. We’ll also get a fresh look at Fable, which was recently delayed to February 2027.
