Where to get Prickly Pears in ARC Raiders

Prickly Pears are one of the rarer items in ARC Raiders, so knowing where to get them will save you time and no small amount of headache.

Scrappy, everyone’s best rooster buddy, deserves all the nicest things in the world. That’s why knowing where to get Prickly Pears in ARC Raiders is important. Oh, and I guess you can also use them to upgrade his scavenging ability, so finding all the Pears you need is also a great way to passively stock up on materials.

Where to find Prickly Pears in ARC Raiders

Prickly Pears are a rare drop from the cactus plants you can find on almost every map in ARC Raiders. They’re plentiful on the outskirts of the Buried City, in the northwestern portions of Dam Battlegrounds, and most of the edges of Spaceport.

The trouble with Prickly Pears is how rarely they spawn. I’ve canvased the entirety of the northwestern edge of Dam Battlegrounds and seen zilch, zero, nothing.

By contrast, Marano Park, the central Nature loot zone on Buried City, has yielded two or three. Or also nothing. It’s very hit or miss, is what I’m getting at. Stick to the Nature loot zones and check around the base of every cactus plant you find. Then, when you do find them, make sure the Prickly Pears go straight into your Safe Pocket.

There’s no “found in raid” or other item-modifier in ARC Raiders, so as long as you return to Speranza with the Pears, you can give them to Scrappy once you’ve collected six. And the other requirements, of course: six Olives and a Cat Bed.

You should keep the Prickly Pears you find even after upgrading Scrappy. The Expeditions require a lot of Provisions value, and I was able to get to almost 150,000 Coin right off the bat after having saved all the produce and valuables I’d found.

There’s also no telling what items we’ll need for future events in ARC Raiders, so I like to have at least a small collection of pretty much everything for use at some indeterminate later date.
