Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet to get full reveal in 2027

Naughty Dog says it needs a little bit more time to cook on its sci-fi adventure game.

Yesterday marked The Last of Us Day, a celebration of the iconic PlayStation franchise. As part of the event, Naughty Dog head Neil Druckmann published a letter to fans, in which he wrote about the current happenings at his studio. It was here that he confirmed that Interalactic: The Heretic Prophet will get a proper reveal next year.

“We’re going to be quiet for the rest of this year. In 2027, that changes,” wrote Neil Druckmann in the letter. “We’ll fully reveal Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet and give you a proper look at Jordan’s wild sci-fi adventure.”

It may not be The Last of Us, but Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is the next game from Naughty Dog. It was originally revealed in 2024, where we got our first glimpse at protagonist Jordan and a new sci-fi world.

As for The Last of Us, Druckmann recently stated that Naughty Dog has a pair of The Last of Us projects in the works, and reaffirmed that point in the letter. Stick with Shacknews as we await more news on the latest projects from Naughty Dog.
