The James Bond game will still come to other consoles and PC in May.
by Donovan Erskine · ShacknewsAs IO Interactive prepares to launch 007 First Light at the end of May, the studio has announced that the game’s Switch 2 version has been delayed to the summer. The Xbox, PlayStation, and PC versions of the game are still on track for their May 27 release date.
IO Interactive announced the delay in a social media post. In reaffirming the May 27 release date for the other platforms, the company stated the Switch 2 version will arrive “later this summer.” This marks the first acknowledgement that the Switch 2 port will arrive after the initial release. Previously, the game was set for a simultaneous launch on all platforms.
IO Interactive initially dated 007 First Light for March 2026 before delaying it to May (following GTA 6’s delay to November). We named it one of our most anticipated games of 2026.
