How to use the bench in the Hunter's March in Hollow Knight: Silksong
I hate it.
by Aidan O'Brien · ShacknewsHollow Knight: Silksong has people asking two questions about Hunter's March. The first is whether there is a bench located in this rough introduction of an area. Hunter's March is all about attacking and bouncing between small flowers, and it can take some time to get used to that mechanic. The second question will be down below, to avoid spoilers.

How to use the bench in the Hunter's March in Hollow Knight: Silksong
For anyone wondering about the bench location, you need to get pretty high up the large central tunnel of Hunter's March. It's quite high up on the left side, at the end of a small tunnel. You can reach Hunter's March pretty early in the game, but it you come back later with a few unlocked movement skills, you will find the journey to the top much easier to manage.
Spoiler Warning
For those who do make it to the bench, you will probably already know that it is booby trapped, and if you sit on it, a large bone hammer smashes you for two health pips. If you are wondering if you can fix it, the answer is yes, you can. You can turn this off by breaking through the leaves on the left side of the bench and going into a small secret room there. There is a lever on the roof you can hit, deactivating the trap.
It's a mean old trick from Team Cherry, and I'm not afraid to say that it got me. Now, the bad news is that even if you came here early, you cannot get all the way to the top without some more advanced movement skills, so come back after you get the ability to float with your cloak and the ability to grip onto walls.
