Where to use the North Relay Storage Key in Marathon

If you get your hands on the North Relay Storage Key, you'll want to use it as soon as possible for the goodies is protects. Here's where to go.

Keyed rooms in Marathon are the sources of some of the best loot in the game, and the room opened by the North Relay Storage Key is no exception. The door is tucked away in the corner of Perimeter, but if you manage to find the key, using it and surviving provides a major windfall.

Where to use the North Relay Storage Key in Marathon

You’ll use the North Relay Storage key at, you guessed it, the North Relay on Perimeter. Specifically, in a shadowy corner tucked away in the northernmost building of the area.

You’re looking for the lab with the large, broken bay windows in this northern building’s northeasternmost segment. The locked door is in a dark hallway north of the lab.

Once you unlock the door, be prepared to need a lot of backpack space, because there are more than a dozen high-value loot containers in the room.

Specifically, you’ll find:

• Six Cache Duffels that can provide weapons, high-value meds, grenades, and other equipment
• Six Cache Cases that can spawn valuables, barter Salvage, and other worthwhile one or two-slot items

Depending on your luck, you can easily come away with a Purple Backpack, tons of utility items, more than a few weapons, and some high-rarity salvage.

There’s no way you’ll walk out of the North Relay Storage Key room with everything if you’re playing as a solo, and even a crew of three might not be able to carry it all.

North Relay is also a possible exfil zone, so if you get a lucky exfil rotation, you can loot the room and get out in five minutes flat.
