Apple AirPods 5 announced for late September 2026, starting at $129

Active Noise Cancellation is becoming a standard feature as of this generation, which will also feature a wireless charging case.

Apple announced the latest generation of its AirPods mobile audio accessories. The AirPods 5 have been announced for release on September 18, 2026, and will start at $129.

Apple revealed the AirPod 5 on the September 2026 Apple Event. It will come in two models, one being a regular charging case that must be plugged in to charge, which will be priced at $129. However, there’s also a wireless charging model that works with MAG charging products. That version will be priced at $149.

Some features repped on the AirPods 5 were its improved Active Noise Cancellation, which is now said to be a standard feature on this generation of AirPods. AirPods 5 also incorporates the newly-built Siri AI companion, which will allow users to engage hands-free with Siri organizational and digital assistant features.
