Resident Evil Requiem gets demo on PC and consoles

If for some reason you haven't played the impeccable Resident Evil Requiem, you can now get a taste of the action in a new free demo.

Resident Evil Requiem just got a free demo on PC and consoles today. I know what you might be thinking: Didn’t Resident Evil Requiem come out in February? Yes, it did, and it sold well, but now if, for some reason, you haven’t played the game or wanted to dip your toes in before buying the full thing, you can.

Capcom announced the surprise release of the Resident Evil Requiem demo on the franchise’s official social media this week. The demo is out now on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.

It’s a little odd to see this new demo arrive now, several months after Resident Evil Requiem’s release, but better late than never. The game is a blast, having earned a perfect 10 from Managing Editor and Resident Evil aficionado, David Craddock. It would go on to sell millions of copies immediately after release and has figured big into Capcom’s sales and forecasts.
