A new transportation option connecting two major Jewish communities is set to launch next week, aiming to make travel between Crown Heights and Monsey more convenient and reliable.

Beginning Friday, May 1, Monsey Trails will introduce a new route designed to provide consistent scheduling, comfort, and efficiency for passengers traveling between the two neighborhoods. The initiative is expected to serve a wide range of needs, from daily commuting to family visits and community events.

The launch comes on the heels of a major expansion for the longtime transportation provider. Monsey Trails recently relocated its Brooklyn operations to a newly renovated 36,000-square-foot depot at 44 Remsen Avenue in Crown Heights, a move that reflects the company’s continued growth after more than 40 years of serving Jewish communities.

“We’re very excited to relocate to Crown Heights,” said Aizik Lunger, manager of Monsey Trails’ Brooklyn operations, in a previous interview with COLlive.com. “This move allows us to continue growing while better catering to the needs of the Crown Heights community.”

Originally founded as a modest shuttle service connecting Monsey and Brooklyn, Monsey Trails has developed into a broad transportation network serving thousands of passengers across New York. The new Crown Heights–Monsey route builds on that foundation, offering a more structured, efficient, and dependable option for travelers.

As part of its integration into the neighborhood, the company emphasized that its fleet operates primarily along main thoroughfares, including Empire Boulevard, Utica Avenue, and Remsen Avenue, and will avoid smaller residential streets and busy shopping areas. Routes are also scheduled mainly during morning and evening hours to minimize disruption.

In addition to daily service, Monsey Trails has long played a role in transporting participants to major community events, including Kinus Hashluchim, Kinus Hashluchos, and the CTeen Shabbaton.

The newly released schedule outlines multiple daily departures throughout the week, including Sunday, weekdays, Fridays, and Motzei Shabbos, with pickup locations in Crown Heights, Monsey, and New Square.

Fares are listed at $20 for adults and $12 for children ages 2–9, aligning with existing Brooklyn route pricing.

With its official launch set for May 1, the new route is expected to fill a meaningful gap for those regularly traveling between Crown Heights and Monsey, offering a dependable new option for the community.
