As that moment approaches, Camp Gan Israel Poconos has launched a 72-hour campaign to ensure that no girl is left behind.
The goal: $300,000 to provide scholarships for 120 girls to attend camp this summer.
More Than a Summer
For many of these girls, camp is far more than a vacation.
It’s where they first feel they belong.
Where Jewish pride comes alive.
Where lifelong connections – to friends, to community, and to their identity – begin.
A Transformational Experience
Each summer, more than 120 girls arrive from across the United States and around the world – many with little connection to their Jewish identity.
They leave with confidence.
With clarity.
With pride.
For some, it’s their only immersive Jewish experience all year.
Through friendships, hands-on programming, and a warm Chabad environment, campers gain something lasting – tools to stay connected long after the summer ends.
The Gap That Must Be Filled
The camp’s annual budget is approximately $1.2 million, with tuition covering only part of the cost.
This campaign is focused on closing a $300,000 gap—ensuring that financial limitations never stand in the way of a girl’s chance to attend.
And the need continues to grow.
One Girl. One Summer. One Future.
The mission is simple:
120 girls. 120 sponsors.
A gift of $2,500 sponsors one full summer for a camper.
But every dollar – at any level – brings us closer.
Because behind every number is a real story.
72 Hours to Make It Happen
Pesach Sheni is coming.
A reminder that it’s never too late – but also a call not to wait.
Now is the moment to step forward.
To give a girl her chance.
To be part of a story that lasts a lifetime.
