For thousands of Chassidim around the world, spending Tishrei with the Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach is something they look forward to all year.

They board a plane, arrive in Crown Heights, and enter a month filled with davening, farbrengens and experiences they will carry with them long after Tishrei ends.

But behind those experiences is a very simple daily reality:

Thousands of guests need to eat. Every day. For an entire month.

A new video from Eshel-Hachnosas Orchim tells that story from a different perspective — through the eyes of a guest who arrives for Tishrei and discovers along the way what makes his next meal possible.

Behind the lighthearted story is a massive Hachnosas Orchim operation that takes place every Tishrei, providing meals for thousands of the Rebbe’s guests.

And what makes it possible? Thousands of partners who choose to take part in Hachnosas Orchim and personally help care for the Rebbe’s guests.

The numbers make that partnership tangible: $36 provides meals for one guest for a full day; $180 provides five days of meals for one guest. A $180 donation also includes entry into a raffle for a dollar from the Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach.

Behind all the big numbers is ultimately one guest, sitting down at the table for a meal.

And that meal begins with one person who chose to give.
