A new mikvah currently under construction in New Jersey will be named Crown Mikvah, perpetuating the memory and quiet legacy of Mrs. Rivka Rubashkin a”h.

“Crown” was the shorthand label for the place where Mrs. Rubashkin quietly performed the extraordinary chessed with which her name is synonymous. Those who were hungry and struggling knew that Crown was an address where they would be warmly welcomed and cared for with dignity. Her chessed was done without publicity or recognition, just because she was an eved Hashem and that was Hashem’s will – and it was done with the simplicity, dignity, and generosity that defined her life.

Crown Mikvah will carry that name—and continue that legacy in a deeply fitting way.

This growing Jewish community currently has no local mikvah. The nearest one is 20 minutes away, leaving women with no accessible option on Shabbos and Yom Tov. Crown Mikvah will provide an address for those who presently have nowhere else to turn.

Like the chessed performed at Crown Restaurant, the important work of a mikvah takes place quietly. Without fanfare, it strengthens the foundations of Torah, taharah, and Jewish family life. Its impact will be felt in homes and families for generations to come.

Construction is already underway, and $126,000 has been raised, which is 50% of the funds needed to complete the Mikvah.

Additional funding is urgently needed to complete the fixtures, heating systems, and final interior work so that Crown Mikvah can open its doors as soon as possible.

We invite you to partner with us in building Crown Mikvah, dedicated לעילוי נשמת רבקה בת ר׳ עוזיאל, and help complete a mikvah taharah in a community that desperately needs one.
