Yeshivas Kayitz Tzeirei Hashluchim (YKTH) recently completed another unforgettable six-week summer program in Tzfas, bringing together 120 bochurim for a summer filled with learning, Chassidishkeit, friendship, and exciting experiences.

Led by Rabbis Chaim and Zalman Kaplan and directed by Rabbi Eli Rosenfeld, the program offered a strong learning schedule alongside trips, recreation, and special programs, creating a summer that left a lasting impression on every participant.

One of YKTH’s defining features is its creative and engaging approach to learning. In addition to regular Sedarim in Chassidus and Gemara, the bochurim participated in Aliba D’Hilchasa, a curriculum developed by JLI specifically for YKTH. Each week opened with a video introducing a practical, modern-day scenario. The bochurim then explored the relevant Gemara and Halacha, gaining a deeper appreciation for how Torah provides guidance in every area of life.

The learning experience was further enhanced by several unique programs. L’Orca U’Lirochba introduced the bochurim to the history and significance of cities throughout Eretz Yisrael, many of which they later had the opportunity to visit. Through the Electives program, each bochur was able to select areas of learning that personally interested him. Seder Erev also featured a rotating schedule of guest speakers and interactive programs, keeping the evening learning fresh and engaging.

Mivtza Essentials was one of the summer’s most successful initiatives. The program encouraged each bochur to make meaningful personal Hachlatos in Darchei Hachassidus and work consistently toward achieving them. Those who excelled earned access to exclusive events, limited-edition merchandise, and additional prizes.

The Maamar for Shmuel Mivtza was held in memory of Shmuel A”H ben R’ Osher Karnowsky, a beloved former participant in YKTH. Each Shabbos, many bochurim committed a Maamar of the Rebbe to memory. As a reward for their efforts, they enjoyed horseback riding through the beautiful forests surrounding Tzfas.

Another popular learning initiative was Mitzvah Torah, which encouraged the bochurim to use their free time to study two additional Perakim of Gemara. Those who completed the challenge were rewarded with an exhilarating paragliding experience from the cliffs of Netanya.

Beyond the Zal, the bochurim enjoyed a full schedule of trips and activities throughout Eretz Yisrael. They walked through the ancient streets of Yerushalayim’s Old City, rode ATVs, made their way through Chizkiyahu’s water tunnels, hiked the cliffs of Har Arbel, and visited the shores of Eilat. Each trip combined adventure with opportunities to learn about the history, holiness, and beauty of Eretz Yisrael.

The summer also included a powerful mission of solidarity with the victims of the Simchas Torah massacre and the soldiers defending Eretz Yisrael. The bochurim visited Sderot, Re’im, and other affected areas, where they witnessed firsthand the strength and resilience of the people living there. They also hosted a lively barbecue for soldiers near the Lebanon border, bringing them encouragement, appreciation, and Chassidishe Simcha.

The program concluded with an exciting four-day grand trip. One of its most meaningful highlights was an inspiring Shabbos in Chevron, where the bochurim walked in the footsteps of the Avos and experienced the unique Kedusha of the city. The trip continued to Eilat, where scuba diving in the Red Sea was among the many unforgettable activities.

The success of the summer was made possible by the dedicated staff, led by Mendy Hirsch, Levi Spalter, Arik Deren, and Yossi Zaltzman. Their tireless efforts, energy, and personal devotion ensured that every bochur enjoyed an extraordinary and meaningful experience.

As the bochurim return to their respective Yeshivos, they take with them much more than wonderful memories. They return with renewed energy, stronger friendships, greater enthusiasm for learning, and the inspiration gained from a summer filled with Torah, Chassidishkeit, and unforgettable adventures.
