A new initiative is bringing the timeless teachings of Hayom Yom to life in a fresh and engaging way through thoughtfully designed visual illustrations.

The project, titled “Hayom Yom Illustrated,” presents the daily teachings in a clear, structured, and visually compelling format, making them more accessible for students, families, and educators alike.

Launched by Mendy Blesofsky, M.S.Ed., ADHD Coach and educator, the initiative transforms the concise daily entries of Hayom Yom into focused visual experiences. Each illustration highlights a single core idea, allowing readers to more easily absorb and relate to the depth of Chassidic teachings in everyday life.

Originally compiled by the Lubavitcher Rebbe in 1942, Hayom Yom is a collection of daily insights and customs arranged according to the Jewish calendar. Hayom Yom Illustrated builds on this foundation by adding a visual layer that enhances clarity and engagement without altering the integrity of the original teachings.

One example from the series focuses on Pesach Sheini, 14 Iyar, conveying the powerful message: “It’s never too late” (עס איז ניטא קיין “פארפאלען”). The concept is illustrated as a movement from distance to renewed connection, offering a relatable and meaningful interpretation of the day’s message.

The illustrations have already begun circulating widely in WhatsApp groups, where they are being used by teachers and parents to spark discussion and bring the daily teaching into practical conversation.

The project was launched in memory of Mendy’s father, R’ Aharon Hakohen Blesofsky, who passed away on Shabbos, 6 Elul, 5785. R’ Aharon was a longtime member of the Crown Heights community, known as a baal menagen and for composing one of the Rebbe’s birthday niggunim.
