Yet for over a century, it has remained Israel’s poorest city, and today its families, widows, at-risk teens, and new olim are facing unprecedented hardship. One organization continues to carry the mission entrusted by the Tzemach Tzedek and the Lubavitcher Rebbe:

The Reality in Tzfas Today
Since the war began three years ago, Tzfas has suffered deeply:
Businesses that stood for decades have closed.
Families are breaking under crushing financial pressure.
Tourism — the backbone of the city — has nearly disappeared.
Olim who arrived with hope now feel overwhelmed, isolated, and unable to rebuild.
Through all of this, the Tzemach Tzedek Shul remains one of the only organizations serving both Israelis and English-speaking olim, providing support that simply does not exist elsewhere.
When you take part, you not only help olim, struggling families and more – you partner with the Rebbe, who personally invested in the organization, with the Tzemach Tzedek who founded the organization almost 200 years ago, with Reb Menachem Mendel Horodoker (MiVitebsk), who brought the Chassidus of the Baal Shem Tov to Tzfas. You partner with the vision of the Arizal, who established Tzfas as a center of Torah life.
