Rabbi Malov suffered a sudden cardiac arrest shortly after waking up and washing Negel Vasser. Emergency responders were called to his home but were unable to revive him.

Rabbi Malov served as the Rebbe’s Shliach in Kfar HaRif and dedicated much of his life to Jewish education. For many years, he directed the neighborhood’s evening yeshiva program, where hundreds of children gathered nightly in the local shul to study Torah.
Friends described him as a devoted educator and accomplished Torah scholar, knowledgeable in both Nigleh and Chassidus, who worked tirelessly to spread Torah learning.
He also organized annual Kinusei Torah in the neighborhood around Yom Tov, in accordance with the Rebbe’s directive to hold Torah gatherings during the holidays.

He was born in Bnei Brak to Rabbi Tzvi Eliyahu Malov, OBM, a longtime Chabad communal activist in Yerushalayim who passed away approximately six years ago, and Mrs. Chana Chaya Malov, daughter of R’ Yaakov Moshe Hakohen Halperin, who passed away in Tishrei 5751 at the age of 40.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nechama Dina Malov, and their children: Menachem Mendel, Shterna Sarah Kramer, Devorah Leah, and Mushka.
The levaya will depart from his home in Nachlas Har Chabad at 12:30 PM, passing the local Talmud Torah and central shul before proceeding to Shamgar in Yerushalayim.
The levaya will depart Shamgar at 3:00 PM for burial at Har Hamenuchos in Yerushalayim.
