The Rebbe spoke repeatedly about the obligation of every Chossid, men and women alike, to maintain a Colel Chabad pushka. On the Rebbe’s own desk, there was one pushka: the pushka of Colel Chabad.
The Pushka App brings this cherished minhag into the digital age, making it easier than ever to give tzedakah l’tzedkas Rabbi Meir Baal Haness and support the aniyim of Eretz Hakodesh, whom Colel Chabad has served since its founding by the Alter Rebbe in 1788.
“The Pushka App is the direct continuation of what the Mitteler Rebbe envisioned: a pushka that is always present and always accessible,” said Levi Samson, who heads app development at Colel Chabad. “There is no more meaningful time to start than the yartzeit of Rabbi Meir Baal Haness.”
