What exactly is “mezonos bread”? Why does rice have its own complicated bracha discussion? And do you really need to wash on a croissant?

This summer, Batsheva Learning Center is offering a unique opportunity to dive into these fascinating sugyos in Maseches Brachos through their intermediate Gemara course, Perek Keitzad Mevarchin.

Designed for women with a basic background in Gemara who are looking to sharpen and strengthen their skills, this six-week online course combines serious learning with a warm and engaging environment. The course will dive into Maseches Brachos as well as explore practical halachic rulings of the Alter Rebbe and modern-day Poskim.

The course combines live shiurim with interactive chavrusa learning, guided discussion, and practical tools for independent Gemara study. Throughout the course, students will tackle practical and thought-provoking topics that arise in everyday life, while gaining exposure to the structure and logic of Gemara analysis.

“This course is about more than learning the halachos of brachos,” says instructor and program director, Devorah Silberstein. “It’s an opportunity to develop the thinking skills and methodology that make Gemara learning so meaningful and empowering.”

The course will run Mondays and Thursdays from 8:00–10:00 PM EST, from July 13 through August 24.

An early bird rate is available through June 12, with registration closing July 1.
