by COLlive Editor · COLliveFor the first time since its launch nearly a year and a half ago, the Beyond Breadwinning marriage preparation workshop for bochurim in shidduchim will be offered in a fully online format, making it accessible to bochurim everywhere.
Beyond Breadwinning was created to address a need that often goes unspoken: to help bochurim prepare for marriage in the emotional and psychological areas that shape a healthy home.
Since its inception, Beyond Breadwinning has been offered several times as an in-person workshop in Crown Heights. To date, dozens of bochurim have participated in the workshop, engaging intentionally with its material. They are asking thoughtful questions, reflecting on their own readiness, and recognizing that a healthy marriage requires emotional awareness, communication skills, and psychological maturity alongside spiritual growth. Many have also taken advantage of the complimentary one-on-one consultations offered as a complement to the intensive workshop.
Facilitated by psychologist Rabbi Dr. Dovid Brownstein, Beyond Breadwinning focuses on helping bochurim move toward a more complete picture of what it means to be a husband. The workshop will explore topics such as emotional readiness, building real partnership, communication, boundaries, and fostering mental health.
The upcoming online workshop will take place February 15–17. To accommodate the schedules of as many bochurim as possible, the program will be structured with the first half taking place during the day on Sunday, followed by the remaining sessions over the next two evenings.
By moving the workshop online, Beyond Breadwinning aims to reach bochurim who may not be able to attend in person but who are equally invested in preparing thoughtfully and responsibly for marriage.
Registration is now open for the February 15-17 virtual workshop. For more information or to register, visit beyondbreadwinning.com or contact beyondbreadwinning@gmail.com.
