On Thursday, Chof Hey Cheshvan (November 5), JLI will host the Lifelong Learning Track at Ohel Nosson, 580 Crown St. The track brings together four leading educators to explore how shluchim can teach Torah more effectively to today’s adult learners:

11:30 am: “Reaching the Person Behind the Student,” Rabbi Shais Taub, Five Towns, NY
2:00 pm: “The Questions Have Changed. Has the Way We Teach Torah?” Rabbi Manis Friedman, Brooklyn, NY
3:30 pm: “Making Torah Intellectually Irresistible,” Rabbi Yechiel Krisch, Pomona, NY
5:00 pm: “Reaching Hearts and Minds: The Rebbe’s Practical Guidance on Teaching Torah,” Rabbi Mordechai Dinerman, Brooklyn, NY

At JLI headquarters at 832 Eastern Parkway, shluchim are welcome to stop by and receive The Fine Print, a complete lesson normally priced at $99, free of charge. The lesson marks 40 years since Hey Teves, so shluchim can bring it straight to their communities in time for the milestone anniversary this Teves. Also on offer are discounted copies of The Book of Jewish Knowledge and the How Jew You Do? Chanukah icebreaker game, a simple way to get event guests talking and engaged.

Shluchim can also preorder the much-anticipated second volume of the Living Jewish series, this one on Shabbos.

And JLI hasn’t forgotten the shluchos: every shliach who visits can take home a special gift for his wife, courtesy of the Giniwish family. JLI thanks the Giniwish family for helping honor the shluchos and their tireless work.

Beyond the offers, the JLI team says it simply wants to connect. Shluchim can grab a coffee, catch up with staff, and talk through their programming plans, questions, and ideas.
To accommodate visitors, JLI has extended its office hours:
Wednesday: 9:30 am to 5:30 pm
Thursday: 9 am to 6 pm
Friday: 9 am to 2 pm
Sunday: 9 am to 12 pm
Monday: 9 am to 5:30 pm
