TorahVR Launches Immersive Tours of Eretz Yisroel Sites
Students can now walk in the footsteps of Avraham Avinu, Dovid Hamelech, and the Ari Hakadosh with cutting-edge VR tours of ancient holy sites.
by COLlive Editor · COLliveTorahVR, the innovative educational platform that has already brought more than 50 interactive Jewish experiences to 200 Jewish schools, shuls, and institutions worldwide, has officially launched its newest product: a groundbreaking series of biblical tours spanning the length and breadth of Eretz Yisroel.
Designed to bring Tanach and Mishnaic stories into vivid focus, the series invites students to step into the exact geographical locations where pivotal biblical events unfolded. Rather than just reading about ancient stories on a page, students can now explore these narratives in high fidelity, bringing the lesson to life.
Some of the locations being released in the next few months include:
Ancient Chevron: Explore the Me’oras Hamachpela, and stand precisely where Avraham likely purchased the land for 400 Shekel. Visit the Kever of Yishai and Rus, and dip in Avraham’s spring. See where Dovid Hamelech was crowned as king and where Yehudah met Tamar, the ancestors of Moshiach. The tour also includes the historic Beis Shneerson in Chevron, originally purchased by the Mitteler Rebbe and where his daughter, Rebbetzin Menucha Rochel Slonim, lived with her family.
Susya: Visit the ancient town of Susya, one of the best preserved towns in ancient Israel, stand on its shul’s mosaic floor and in front of its beautiful Bima, and witness the ancient process of oil making, a popular export from Susya almost 2,000 years ago.
Yerushalayim & Ir Dovid Hamelech: Transport straight to the Kosel, navigate the ancient alleys of the Old City of Yerushalayim, and explore Ir Dovid Hamelech, the seat of the Davidic royalty for centuries.
Pilgrimage & Battles: Trace the paths walked by the Maccabees and follow the exact routes the Yidden traveled when ascending to the Beis Hamikdash for Aliya LaRegel.
Tzfas & Meron: Tour the holy city of Tzfas, home to the Ari Hakadosh and the great Kabbalists whose teachings formed foundational pillars of Chabad Chassidus, before ending at the kever of Rashbi in Meron.
Masada: Ascend the majestic cliffside fortress overlooking the Judean Desert. Explore King Herod’s palace ruins, stand inside one of the world’s oldest shul’s, inspect authentic 2,000-year-old mikvaos, and relive the story of Jewish resilience during the final days of the Second Beis Hamikdash era.
Nehar HaYarden: Journey down the Yarden River where Yehoshua led Bnei Yisroel across the miraculously split waters to enter Eretz Yisroel for the very first time. Experience the legendary crossing point near Yericho, where Eliyahu HaNavi later ascended to Heaven in a chariot of fire and Elisha performed his famous miracles.
Golan Heights – Traverse the historic northern frontier, known in the Torah as the biblical Bashan allocated to Shevet Menashe. Explore the ancient cliffside fortress of Gamla, visit second-temple synagogues, and gaze across strategic heights rich with Talmudic history.
Rosh Hanikra – Journey to the dramatic northernmost coastal border of Eretz Yisroel, where brilliant white chalk cliffs meet the roaring Mediterranean Sea. Navigate through subterranean sea grottoes while learning the practical and halachic significance of Gvulos HaAretz (the borders of the Holy Land).
Ancient Village of Katzrin – Step back 1,500 years into a fully restored Talmudic village in the heart of the Golan. Walk through a grand Beis Midrash, explore authentic stone homes, and witness how oil was pressed and life was lived during the era of the Tannaim and Amoraim.
By combining immersive 360-degree technology with authentic Torah sources, TorahVR bridges the gap between past and present. Educators are seeing that the visual immersion deepens students’ connection to Yiddishkeit, turning abstract textual study into a tangible, memorable journey through our shared history.
The new “Biblical Israel Series” is available now for institutions using TorahVR worldwide.
