Munich Visit Focuses on Tishrei Security for Germany’s Jews
Chabad’s emergency and security center held a strategic visit in Munich to strengthen protection plans for Jewish communities across Germany ahead of Tishrei.

With heightened security concerns ahead of the Tishrei holidays, Chabad’s global CWA emergency and security center held a strategic visit in Munich to strengthen protection plans for Jewish communities across Germany.
Chabad Houses across Germany are preparing for the Tishrei holidays, when thousands of Jews are expected to take part in davening, holiday meals and community programs.
This year, alongside the spiritual preparations, security is receiving particular attention amid ongoing concerns and specific security alerts.
As part of the close cooperation between Chabad’s global CWA emergency and security center and Jewish community security organizations around the world, a special working visit was held in Germany aimed at strengthening the security infrastructure protecting Jewish communities.
The visit was hosted and led by Gilad Ben Yehuda, director of security for the Jewish community of Munich and Upper Bavaria.
Ben Yehuda, who is closely involved in security planning for Chabad Houses across Germany, briefed the delegation on challenges on the ground and presented advanced technological security plans being prepared ahead of the holidays.
During the visit, CWA representatives met with Germany’s Head Shliach, Rabbi Yisroel Meir Diskin, together with members of the team of Shluchim in Munich.
The Shluchim shared their experiences from the field and expressed appreciation for the ongoing security work that allows them to carry out their activities with greater peace of mind.
The global emergency center operates around the clock under the direction of Shliach Rabbi Shlomo Chaim Peles, operations director Rabbi Moshe Fleischman and R’ David Elimelech, who worked closely on the details of the new cooperation plans developed during the visit.
“The combination of ‘He neither slumbers nor sleeps’ with uncompromising security professionalism is what will help ensure that every Jew in Germany can celebrate the Tishrei holidays safely and joyfully,” CWA representatives said.
