Compact car bursts into flames after collision near Gelasah Suai
by jenifer laeng · Borneo Post OnlineMIRI (Oct 6): A compact car burst into flames this morning after colliding with a four-wheel-drive (4WD) vehicle near Gelasah Suai, Pan Borneo Road.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said they received a distress call regarding the incident at 6:59am and firefighters from the Batu Niah fire station were deployed to the scene.
“When they arrived, the compact car was already completely destroyed by the fire,” it said, adding that the drivers of both vehicles, as well as a passenger of the 4WD managed to exit their vehicles unharmed.
Bomba said the firefighters swiftly extinguished the fire. After ensuring the situation was under control, the firefighters concluded the operation and returned to their station.
