The Sarawakku Sayang 2026 Programme will be implemented in 12 divisions from April to November.

KUCHING (March 20): The Sarawakku Sayang 2026 Programme will be rolled out across 12 divisions from April 10 to Nov 22, serving as an integrated platform to deliver a wide range of civil services to the people.

Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg is expected to officiate the programme, which will kick off at the Sports Complex in Limbang from April 10 to 12.

It will then move to Miri Stadium (April 24–26) and Old Airport Bintulu (May 22–24).

The programme is also expected to take place at Dataran Pehin Setia Raja in Mukah from June 19 to 21 before moving to Dataran Bandar Sibu from June 26 to 28 and Kapit Civic Centre from July 10 to 12.

Subsequent stops include Sarikei Sports Complex (Aug 7–9), Betong Sports Complex (Sept 4–6) and Sri Aman Sports Complex (Sept 25–27), followed by Serian Conference Centre (Oct 16–18) and Kota Samarahan Municipal Council (Oct 30 to Nov 1).

The programme is scheduled to conclude at Metrocity, Matang, here from Nov 20 to 22.

The Sarawak Implementation Monitoring Unit (Simu) is working with various ministries, departments and agencies at state and divisional levels to ensure smooth and effective implementation.

The Sarawakku Sayang 2026 Programme reflects the state government’s commitment to ensuring no Sarawakian is left behind in the development agenda, while strengthening social well-being, unity and public confidence.

“This programme is a noble initiative that places emphasis on understanding needs at the grassroots level besides providing a One-Stop Centre platform that brings together government agencies, government-linked companies (GLCs), non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and the private sector.

“Through the platform, people will have the opportunity to access various services including health checks, educational assistance, entrepreneurial opportunities, welfare services and government digital services including payment of utility bills, summonses and land premiums,” said Ukas.

It consists of five major components namely the official ceremony, the main exhibition, the service counters, the entrepreneur sales booths and community activities.

For exhibition, the Sarawak Pavilion features the achievements, implementation and aspirations of the state’s development including road network, water supply and electricity, while the service counters provide various services focusing on health, education, entrepreneurship, welfare and digital and innovation.

On top of that, sales booths, through Sarawak Kitchen, provide an avenue for local entrepreneurs to promote food and handicraft products, while community activities include sports and recreational programmes such as fun runs, folk sports, cultural performances, entertainment and e-contests.

“The three-day programme offers various activities before concluding with a closing ceremony,” it added.
