KUCHING (Dec 13): The Democratic Action Party (DAP) Stampin branch has reaffirmed its commitment to initiatives that empower children, said Michael Kong.

The special assistant to the DAP Sarawak chairman participated in the branch’s ‘Back-to-School’ programme, visiting SJKC Sam Hap Hin and SJK Chung Hua Sungai Lubak to distribute school shoes, stationery, and water bottles to pupils.

“As part of our ongoing Back-to-School initiative, we continue to support families in managing the rising cost of living while ensuring students are well-prepared and motivated for the new school year,” he said in a press statement.

“This annual programme reflects our firm belief that education is the key to opening doors and creating limitless opportunities for our young generation,” Kong added.

He noted that the visits also provided an opportunity to encourage pupils to study diligently, pursue their aspirations, and strive for excellence.

“Through this initiative, we want every student to know that we stand with them throughout their learning journey. When our children succeed, our community thrives,” he said.
