Sibu’s Tien Tao Methodist Church, SMK St Elizabeth to get RM250,000 RTP upgrade

SIBU (Nov 16): Pelawan assemblyman Datuk Michael Tiang has granted RM250,000 from his Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) funds for the upgrading projects of Tien Tao Methodist Church and SMK St Elizabeth here.

According to the deputy minister of Public Health, Housing and Local Government, a total of RM100,000 was allocated for the Tien Tao Methodist Church, with another RM150,000 for SMK St Elizabeth.

“For Tien Tao Methodist Church, the upgrading works include construction of a driveway from the church to the parking lot,” he said in a statement issued in connection with the project’s kick-off yesterday.

“For SMK St Elizabeth, the fund will be used to upgrade facilities such as improvements on its basketball, volleyball, and tennis courts.

The RTP projects would enhance the church’s and school’s facilities and infrastructure, creating a better environment for the community, he said.

Tiang also reiterated his commitment to supporting development projects for religious institutions and schools within his constituency.

Present to hand over the project sites to the contractors was community leader Penghulu Ting Tien Huat, who represented Tiang.
