Revealed: How Much the ‘Love Is Blind’ Cast Allegedly Gets Paid While in the Pods
So, How Much Do the Love Is Blind Cast Get Paid?
· CosmopolitanLove Is Blind is back for another season of romance and chaos, and Season 11 features a cast of 30 Boston locals who are eager to find love and get married on TV. Normal stuff!
The thing is: while going on a reality show to find a spouse is definitely a unique life experience, it’s also a pretty huge time commitment. Love Is Blind films for 10 days in the pods and 5 days in the vacation destination, which means everyone basically has to take two weeks off from work. But—unlike other reality shows that don’t pay contestants at all (like The Bachelor), Netflix does compensate the cast.
Depends on who you ask—and it’s possible that things have changed a bit over the years. Season 2 contestant Jeremy Hatwell filed a lawsuit against Love Is Blind back in 2022, and—per Variety—alleged that the cast was paid just $1,000 per week.
However, more recently season 6 cast member Matthew Duliba went on Chrissy Clark’s podcast, and the updated payment structure was discussed. Per the podcast’s reporting on the LIB contract (via TV Insider and Style Caster), Love Is Blind cast members get $5,000 for their 10 days in the pods. If they end up engaged and heading on a post-pod vacation, they allegedly get another $2,500. They then allegedly get an additional $3,000 for the month of post-pod filming (when they’re back at their day-to-day jobs), $1,000 for their wedding, and another $1,500 for the reunion episode. So, if you make it through the entire show, you’re looking at a total payday of $13,000.
Keep in mind that Netflix doesn’t comment on what it pays its reality TV cast members, nor have they confirmed these alleged contract details.
