Is Haus Labs’ Viral Foundation Worth the Hype? I Tested It on My Dry, Acne-Prone Skin
Haus Labs Triclone Skin Tech Foundation
· CosmopolitanMost foundations and my dry, acne-prone skin simply don’t get along—but Haus Labs’ Triclone Skin Tech Foundation is a rare exception. The formula feels impressively lightweight, builds without getting cakey, and, most importantly, it doesn't aggravate my dryness or my breakouts.
Keep scrolling for my full review of the Haus Labs Triclone Skin Tech Foundation, where I break down the skincare ingredients, how it wears throughout the day, and a few other editor-favorite Haus Labs makeup products.

First off, it boasts an impressive shade range, and the formula is non-comedogenic, meaning its ingredients are formulated to avoid clogging pores or triggering breakouts. Instead of feeling heavy or oily, it’s infused with calming plant extracts and a serum-like base, where skin-lovers like squalane and glycerin help keep the skin plump and hydrated without clinging to any dry patches or pilling.
Upon application, the texture feels incredibly lightweight and almost watery on the face. It blends out seamlessly with either a brush or sponge (I prefer the latter), and you can layer it on without looking cakey and thick for more coverage. Once it sets, the finish is soft and skin-like, subtly blurring my ex-acne marks and smoothing out uneven tone while leaving my skin looking natural and radiant, even on the coldest winter days when my complexion is visibly dried out.
Even after hours of wear, it feels more like a skincare step rather than a traditional foundation. It doesn’t oxidize as the day goes on, and it sits nicely and evenly without breaking apart around my nose or settling into fine lines. Even on long days when I’m relying on my makeup to last 10+ hours, my skin still looks fresh and even when I'm finally ready to take my glam off.

Another major win: it plays extremely well with the rest of my beauty routine. No matter what skincare I lather on prior to applying, it never pills apart on my dry skin. Liquid blush blends smoothly without lifting or getting patchy, and it pairs especially well with other Haus Labs staples. I’m particularly into the coinciding Triclone Concealer for brightening my dark under-eyes, as well as the lengthening mascara for everyday wear.
As a beauty editor with my fair share of skin concerns—and access to just about every foundation out there—this is one of the few I genuinely reach for. If you want a foundation that perfects your complexion while nourishing your skin with hydrators and antioxidants, this one delivers on all fronts.
