Scarlett Reveals Her Biggest Regret With Cole From ‘Temptation Island’ Season 2 (Exclusive)
Give In to ‘Temptation Island’
· CosmopolitanAt long last, Netflix’s second installment of Temptation Island has arrived, and with it, a whoooole lot of drama. This time around, four new couples were put through the wringer, including 29-year-old marketing agency owner Scarlett Bentley and 27-year-old real estate entrepreneur Cole Mueller, whose two-year relationship had reached a breaking point. The result of the experiment? Scarlett eventually decided to (spoiler alert!) leave the island alone, but not without a few new connections (and maybe a couple of regrets).
During an exclusive interview with Cosmo ahead of the season 2 premiere, Scarlett explained how “trust issues” may have brought her and Cole to Temptation Island, but that lack of trust had nothing to do with infidelity. “Once we were there, I realized I wasn’t actually worried about Cole cheating,” she said. “I think it would’ve been pretty crazy for either of us to actually do something like that…so I was just hoping that both of us would really look more deeply into our relationship and grow.”

If anything, Scarlett was disappointed that Cole didn’t try harder to form bonds with the single ladies in his villa or “get outside opinions” on his relationship with Scarlett. “I know that he was probably scared of me seeing anything that would upset me,” she explained. “It was a hard situation to navigate, and I think everyone just did their best, right?”
Scarlett, meanwhile, used her own time on the island to develop a strong bond with Bradley Bobbit—and if you’re wondering: No, their relationship was never anything more than a friendship. “That first pick for that date was totally random,” Scarlett said. “I just chose Bradley on a whim, and had no idea that we would become such great friends. And after that first date, we had really great conversations. I was the oldest girl. He was the oldest guy. I think he was just really mature, and he spoke my language.”
According to Scarlett, Bradley was able to help her “navigate my relationship, which was super helpful, considering I was just like wanting to grow and get answers.” She added, “It always just felt like a deep friendship to me…and having a solid friend to lean on was huge.”
Does she have any regrets from the experience? When it came time to leave her video message for Cole, Scarlett acknowledged that she “could have been a little softer.” As she explained it, “Obviously I’m only seeing very small clips of Cole’s experience, so in that moment, it felt right. I wanted him to dive into the experience…but from what I had seen, it seemed like he wasn’t.”
She continued, “I think I was just so over the old relationship that we were in, and I just wanted growth.”
Fans won’t know where Scarlett and Cole stand now (or if Scarlett and Bradley’s friendship ever did turn romantic…) until the reunion, but I’m happy to see that Scarlett came out the other side with few regrets!
