Help me help you watch The Vampire Lestat as many times as your beating heart desires. If you need assistance figuring out how to stream The Vampire Lestat and keep up with the continuation of Interview with the Vampire, this is a one stop shop. And when is The Vampire Lestat going to be on Netflix?! Inquiring minds want to know.

For all intents and purposes, The Vampire Lestat is season 3 of Interview with the Vampire. It’s not a new show. It’s not a spin-off or a reboot. Rolin Jones is still the showrunner. Jacob Anderson and Sam Reid are still the stars. The title changed to match the second book in author Anne Rice’s Vampire Chronicles series, which the show is now adapting. (At least they didn’t title it with a lot of dorky punctuation, like Anne Rice’s Immortal Universe: The Vampire Lestat, The Vampire Lestat: A Vampire Chronicles Story, or Interview with the Vampire: Lestat. This is much cleaner.)

The Vampire Lestat, airs on the cable channel AMC on Sundays at 9 p.m. EST. If you are subscribed to AMC+ you can stream new episodes starting at 3 a.m. EST on Sunday wherever you are in the big bad world.

What else can I watch on AMC, though?

Thinking about subscribing for at least a month or two? It’s definitely worthwhile! AMC is and was a major network prestige television for nothing. Remember Mad Men? Breaking Bad? The Walking Dead? Maybe this is time for a rewatch, or a first-time watch, of those definitive shows. If those are not your speed, you can watch Lee Pace be tall and bisexual in Halt and Catch Fire. Fans of Interview with the Vampire/The Vampire Lestat might also be interested in the twisty sci-fi Orphan Black. Or, check out the short but very romantic and sexy The Walking Dead spin-off The Ones Who Live.

Also, for what it’s worth, AMC+ has exclusive extended cuts of all episodes of Interview with the Vampire and a lot of behind-the-scenes content. You can easily make subscribing worth it. You will not be bored.

Is The Vampire Lestat on Netflix?

No! At least, not yet. While Interview with the Vampire picked up some fans when the first two seasons started streaming on Netflix, it is not a Netflix original series. It is, of course, an AMC original series. However, the cable network has a branding deal with Netflix and you can find a lot of their shows under a special banner.

When will The Vampire Lestat be on Netflix?

Even if the streaming service follows suit, it might be some time. The first season of Interview with the Vampire, which premiered on AMC and AMC+ back on October 2, 2022, did not arrive on Netflix until two years later on August 19, 2024. That was painful, especially for those of us trying to get folks who limit their streaming budget to check it out. The second season, however, had its AMC and AMC+ premiere on May 12, 2024 and landed on Netflix the next winter, on December 2, 2025.

Does this mean that The Vampire Lestat won’t be on Netflix until 2027? That would, no pun intended, suck. Given that Netflix’s socials have been pushing Interview with the Vampire ahead of the The Vampire Lestat premiere, I am hopeful they fast-track it a little bit. Not because I think this “version” is better than Interview with the Vampire, or anything. Like I said, they’re the same show. This is still season 3. I need Netflix to get on it ASAP because it deserves to be a sensation seen by as many folks as possible, and third time’s the charm!
