Xiaomi 18 Fold gets its first official look ahead of September 7 launch

Xiaomi confirmed last week that its wide-screen foldable will launch in September with the Xring O3 chipset. Now, the company has officially revealed the Xiaomi 18 Fold’s design and confirmed its launch date.

The Xiaomi 18 Fold will launch in China on September 7, two days before Apple is expected to unveil its own wide-screen foldable, the iPhone Ultra.

Alongside announcing the launch date, Xiaomi also showcased the foldable in a Nishino Red colorway.

The phone is seen with a triple rear camera setup and an LED flash housed inside a horizontal, pill-shaped camera module. It also sports large rounded corners and slim display bezels.

The Xiaomi 18 Fold is confirmed to feature a 5.38-inch cover screen and a 7.58-inch inner foldable display.

Xiaomi has also shared a video showcasing the foldable, offering a glimpse at its internal components and hinge mechanism.

According to a recent Geekbench listing, the company’s wide-screen foldable is expected to feature up to 16GB of RAM and run Android 17 out of the box.
