“I couldn’t stay mad”- M’sian Returns To Find Motorcycle Plate Smashed, Turns Out Driver Had Already Replaced It

After a long and exhausting day at work, finding damage to your vehicle is usually the ultimate tipping point for a terrible mood. However, for one local motorcyclist, a frustrating discovery at Mesra Mall, Terengganu turned into an unexpectedly heartwarming moment that left her fighting back tears.

Taking to Threads to share her rollercoaster of emotions, the user recounted returning to her motorcycle after a tiring workday while already feeling deeply out of sorts.

A broken plate and a shocking discovery

Upon inspecting her motorcycle, her heart sank when she noticed that her motorcycle’s back license plate had been smashed and left shattered inside her storage basket.

Naturally, frustration set in immediately as she braced herself for the hassle of repairs. But nestled right beside the broken debris was something she never expected: a handwritten note.

“I came back from work in a bad mood, and when I got to my motorcycle, I saw my license plate shattered inside the basket. Then I saw a note, read it, and checked the back of the bike, oh man. I wanted to get mad, but I couldn’t stay mad. Thank you for being a responsible person!”

A brand new replacement plate left behind

Instead of fleeing the scene to escape accountability, the driver responsible for the mishap had gone above and beyond to make things right. Along with an apologetic note scribbled with a simple “SORRY!!”, the thoughtful note included a small smiley face and a crucial message at the bottom: “ni no plate baru awak” (this is your new license plate).

True to their word, looking closely at the back of her bike revealed that a brand-new replacement license plate had already been neatly installed in place of the damaged one.

Reading the note and checking the back of her bike, the owner realized that honesty and genuine accountability had completely triumphed over carelessness.

The wholesome post quickly blew up across social media, pulling in thousands of likes and supportive comments as netizens resonated with the rare display of accountability.

Eager to share a happy conclusion to her day, the relieved owner provided a sweet update to her followers confirming that she had successfully reconnected with the driver to settle everything amicably.

“Guys, I have found the person. No hate. Everything is okay,” she wrote.
