Massimo’s $2,700 Mini Truck puts a 125cc go-kart in retro bodywork

Massimo’s Mini Truck puts a square grille, little windshield and two seats into a vehicle just over six feet long. Tractor Supply lists the cream-colored model at $2,699.99, with a 125cc gasoline engine and a rated top speed of 28 mph. It’s an appealing combination for someone with room to ride and a soft spot for old-school off-road styling.

The useful shopping question is how much room you have for the kart, its riders and the riding itself. This is a recreational go-kart for ages 16 and up, developed for Tractor Supply’s 2026 holiday lineup. Its compact size helps with storage, but the two seats share a listed 300-pound load limit. A small vehicle can still require a fairly specific place, and pair of people, to enjoy it.

The truck look comes with proper go-kart hardware

Behind that bodywork is an air-cooled, single-cylinder four-stroke engine rated at 9 horsepower. A three-speed semi-automatic transmission includes reverse, so backing out of a parking spot doesn’t mean dragging the kart around by hand. Electric start handles getting it running, and the digital display puts the speed readout in the dashboard.

There’s some welcome detail beyond the styling. You get headlights, rear lighting, turn signals and a horn, along with padded, water-resistant seats and an adjustable driver’s seat. The open cabin keeps the controls and seating visible; there’s no enclosed cab to shelter you from the weather.

The drivetrain is two-wheel drive. Steel wheels wear 18-inch tires, with coilover suspension and hydraulic disc brakes at the front and rear. Those are useful specifications for light recreational riding, although the 3.5-inch ground clearance calls for restraint around rocks, ruts and other obstacles. The truck-shaped body doesn’t give you extra clearance underneath.

The 28-mph figure is a rated maximum, not a speed we’ve tested. It’s also enough to take the riding gear seriously. The owner’s manual calls for a helmet and protective clothing, warns about rollovers even on flat terrain, and tells riders to avoid sharp turns and steep inclines.

Check the people and the parking space

Both current product pages put the Mini Truck at 76 inches long, 40.5 inches wide and 41.5 inches tall. That’s 6 feet 4 inches long and roughly 3 feet 4 inches wide, a helpful starting point when measuring a shed doorway or a storage corner. Leave room to get in, get out and move around it rather than treating those exterior dimensions as a complete parking-space requirement.

The seats deserve the same attention. Tractor Supply describes a combined load capacity of up to 300 pounds, so don’t read that number as an allowance for each rider. Two 150-pound occupants would already reach the advertised limit. The adjustable driver’s seat helps position the driver, but it doesn’t establish that every adult will fit comfortably.

There’s a specification wrinkle worth resolving before ordering: the downloadable documents don’t consistently match the live listings on dimensions and maximum load. Use the retailer’s 300-pound limit for initial planning, and have Massimo confirm the dimensions and limits for the exact unit if your riders or storage space are close to the boundary. Don’t use a higher number in a conflicting document to justify an otherwise unsuitable fit.

The same caution applies to where you plan to ride. Massimo sells this as an off-road recreational kart. Headlights and turn signals don’t establish permission to use public roads, and the product pages don’t settle your local registration or road-use requirements. Confirm those rules before buying it for neighborhood transportation.

What the $2,699.99 price buys

The current Tractor Supply listing is $299.01 below the $2,999 price shown on Massimo’s own page, which is marked sold out. The retailer lists Cream and says it can’t ship this item to California. Check stock and the delivered total for your location; the advertised price isn’t a verified tax-and-delivery quote.

The Mini Truck’s appeal is easy to understand: retro styling, two seats and familiar driving controls in a compact gasoline kart. For someone who already has a suitable riding area and fits within its limits, that’s a more useful reason to consider it than the word “truck.” The price makes sense only if the space and rider fit do, too.
