What good news do people in Dublin have to share?

The Reuters Institute Digital News Report 2026 revealed that almost half of us (47%) find ourselves actively trying to avoid news, a significant rise on last year's figure (41%).
The report says other countries are also recording high levels of news avoidance, with respondents around the world making an effort to reduce their news intake.
In the age of social media and 24-hour news coverage, experts say constant doomscrolling can contribute to anxiety and burnout.
With that in mind, we headed out onto the streets of Dublin to ask people a simple question: What's the good news in your life right now?
